Local gastronomy as a destination brand: Czech Republic case study

Various destinations today are struggling with a variety of challenges where they are forced to come up with interesting and innovative marketing communication solutions to attract travellers and build their overall image. This is also a difficult task due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, which has significantly affected the tourism industry. One of the areas that countries and regions are making use of is local gastronomy, and this is no different in the Czech Republic. This thesis aims to find out how the Czech Republic generally works with the topic of local gastronomy, how it is perceived by active travellers and where its communication opportunities lie in this area. The theoretical part of the thesis gradually maps the functioning of local brands, then describes the tourism segment and marketing of this area. It also explores the topic of gastronomy in the context of the national brand and also maps the communication of the Czech Republic and its long-term vision. The research part of the thesis then examines how the Czech Republic works with the theme of gastronomy to attract tourists, whether is is an important decision factor for travellers and describes the opportunities that the country could exploit in its marketing communication. The utilization of the potential of the Pardubice Region for the development of tourism

The utilization of the potencial of Pardubice region for the development of tourism Abstract The bachelor tesis analyses the tourism in Pardubice region and evaluates it using statistical data and results of the qualitative research in the region The statistical data are related to other indicators in tourism and compared with other regions in the Czech Republic. Alongside it analyses destination managment results in the area. The final part is constituted as a tourism product proposition for the region which reacts to the contemporary trends in the world and internal tourism. This way the tesis clarifies many terms from tourism, destination managment, qualitative research and statistical indicators. The goal of the tesis is to disprove the fact of Pardubice region being an outsider of Czech tourism and make use of the gastrotourism potential in the area. Food tourism trends on an example of starting up a new business

The diploma thesis deals with the modern trends in the area of food tourism in terms of starting up business focused on food tours for tourists in Prague. The main objective of the thesis is to analyze food tourism market environment in Prague. Based on that the author will assess whether the new business will be successful on the market. The theoretical part is devoted to the terminology of tourism, gastronomy development and modern trends in supply and demand of food tourism. In practical part of the thesis the author deals with methods of analysis of the market environment. Enterprise´s external environment is analyzed by using PEST analysis, internal environment is analyzed by analysis of competition using Porter´s Five Forces and Strategic Group Map. Finally, the author evaluates results of the survey in order to analyze demand for products on food tourism market.

Beer Tourism in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis solves problems of development of beer tourism in the Czech Republic, that is possible called as a one of the trends in the tourism. The main aim of thesis is offer some recommendations, that will be useful for increase of interest about beer tourism, in wider concept in the Czech Republic and more specifically in the Visitor centre Staropramen. The theoretical part is compiled from study of professional literature and from the resources on the internet and this is important for getting the view about tourism. The practical part is founded on research of questionnaire survey, for which recommendations will be got for the next development of beer tourism in the Czech Republic and strategies for growth more Czech tourists in the Visitors centre Staropramen.
Tourism Business

Bachelor thesis focused on the development of entrepreneurship and the increase of competitiveness in tourism in the Small Carpathians Region, specifically in the town of Slovensky Grob. It defines and describes terms such as tourism, services, entrepreneurship, region, etc. It concentrates mainly on the Pezinok micro region, the communities that belong to it and gives a brief introduction about their history and cultural traditions, which take place each year. It analyses the tradition of goose-feasts, their contemporary situation and explains what are these feast composed of. It introduces the Guild of Goose-servers of Slovensky Grob, their members, goals and the purpose of the founding of the organization. The aggregated theoretical knowledge is further applied in the practical part of the thesis. In this part, questionnaires are used. Based on the evaluation of these questionnaires are suggestions towards the improvement of the current state of services rendered.
Culinary tourism- the current trend in contemporary tourism

This bachelor thesis deal with culinary tourism, as a new trend of tourism. Based on the definition of the field uses the scientific method of bibliographic search and statistical data. It focuses on the concept of inclusion in the typology of tourism. It issues the impact of tourism on the economy and the role of multiplier effects within the general theme. The practical part deals with culinary tourism and it's conception in Austria. First general issues of Austrian tourism are analyzed, with topics centered on the presentation of the state in the context of tourism. Next the tourism brand "Holidays in Austria" is processed which also fall under the topics on the gastronomic market, culinary tourism in Austria and the initiative Genuss Region Österreich.
